Registration

We are delighted that you are considering registering your child with Upton St Leonards Playgroup. Our registration process is designed to be simple and welcoming, helping us get to know your child and ensure we can provide the best possible start to their time with us.

As part of registration, families will receive information about our playgroup routines, policies, and uniforms. Children attending the playgroup are encouraged to wear our simple and comfortable uniform, which helps promote a sense of belonging and makes it easy for staff to support children during play and activities.

Each child is also allocated a dedicated key worker who will support them throughout their time at playgroup. Key workers help children settle in, monitor their development, and act as a main point of contact for families. For organisation and small-group activities, children are placed into one of four colour groups — Red, Yellow, Green, or Blue — each led by experienced members of our staff team. Each child will have a t-shirt and jumper corresponding to their playgroup colour.

This approach helps us provide consistent care, build strong relationships, and ensure every child feels safe, supported, and valued within our playgroup community.
